My take on a realistic Vaporeon. Vaporeon has always and will always be my favorite Pokemon. I really love the character design, it all flows together perfectly. Most of the realistic Vaporeons I see are rather scary so I decided to stay close to the beauty it's described to have. I based my rendition off of a California Sea Lion rather than a cat or fox due to the practicality of it being an aquatic creature. For the mane I tried to represent a flowing membrane attached to the base of its neck, inspired by jellyfish's fabric-like membranes. The angler fish lure on top of the head was my own little touch. I picture Vaporeons diving deep down where light isn't available. They use it lure in prey attracted to light. The texture on its skin is representing its ability to dissolve into the water. It is accompanied by a small school of Finneon led by a single Lumineon.
